Three Important Realisations

I have learned and come to realise a lot of things over the last half decade, and here I would like to briefly share with you the three I contemplate most often at this stage in my life:

I have learned that defeat and pain are teachers that know lessons other more kind teachers do not; they are, therefore, invaluable to any person who wishes to grow as a being. There are lessons in everything – it is up to you to look for them

“Adversity introduces a man to himself”

I have learned that nothing is ever as bad as it seems; the imagination is the beast running wild and untamed, but it never comes to pass in that form. Wounds heal, the body repairs, life goes on. To worry is to waste that most precious, this everlasting moment

“Do not prey for an easy life, pray for the strength to endure a difficult one”

And finally I have diminished my ego into insignificance. Does this mean I am meek? No. It means I know my place in all this, that it never ends – everything is our perspective of our collective experience, each one individual and unique, yet one and the same. Everything that you see in another you must first see in yourself; polish your mirror

“Use no way as way, have no limitation as limitation”

May this serve you as it has served me
